Lincoln turns 6 Months

It is hard to document your life and live it at the same time. I wish I could pay someone to do this for me. I don't want to miss anything and I don't want to forget anything! Life is moving way too fast! Lincoln is already 6 months old! He is so big now! He loves standing up! He rocks back and forth and jumps whenever given the chance. He started sleeping through the night toward the end of August - which is wonderful! He wakes up occasionally but for the most part, we are all sleeping! Of course, I'm often afraid that I am just sleeping through his crying. I sure hope not cause that makes me feel terrible just thinking about it! He moved up to the Infant II room at daycare too ... please slow down!

He is starting to look at you when you say his name, but he is already showing defiance in this area! He likes the sound of his own voice and will often gurgle and coo at the same time - much like Chewbacca. When he gets tired he puts his hands behind his head in addition to rubbing his eyes. When he's almost asleep he starts moaning and chewing on his pacifier. I've also seen him wiggling like he is doing an ab work out from side to side - hitting those obliques! In fact, at his 6 month check up he did this for the doctor and threw in a little pelvic lift. She called in the nurses to see our cute little man. He's a mess. Already lovin' the ladies at such a young age. He has been caught holding hands with Caroline (baby that's his age) at daycare.

He rolls over at daycare but he just won't do it for us at home. He is either laying on his back, tummy, sitting, or standing with us. He just won't roll over! He didn't discover his feet or really show any interest in them until this month when he started sitting more. He likes to sit on Daddy's chest and play with his own feet.

We had our first accident report on day two of transitioning to the Infant II room. One of the bigger kids hit him in the head with a toy. Thankfully, it didn't even bruise. I did good and didn't cry when they called - of course I only listened to the voice mail and had to call back. My poor baby! But these things will happen, especially in this age. They are crawling and don't really have full control over their little bodies yet.

We started solids just a few weeks before he turned 6 months old and he likes it pretty good. He is not a fan of mangoes or rutabagas but loves green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes and a few other mash ups he has had.

Here's a few cute shots from 6 months:

First time wearing shoes

First time eating carrots

I told him this was the last time he could wear this cute outfit ...
I love this little face!

Lincoln met the Church family!
These guys love Lincoln and we love them!

Can't forget Momma Church!
And now he is sitting up like a big boy! Still a little wobbly at time, but making steady progress.
Oh how I love this little boy! :)
