Myrtle Beach Trip with the Church family June

Josh and I joined the Church family for a fun few days at Myrtle Beach this past weekend. It was a lot of fun. The boys LOVE Josh ... can you blame them? :)

Here are a bunch of pictures to show you the fun:
End of Day #1 ... little bit of sunburn but we're alright!
Jackson, Hayden, Josh, and Savannah
Hanging at the beach
Playing cards
Putt Putt Outing
The big boys: Josh, Mike, and Tyler (they have a "Big Head Tyler" too! Or as the kids say uncle Tywer :)
Josh's hole in one! Well, one of three ...

Last day on the beach - Mike found crabs and grossed us out a bit
Hanging out under our new umbrella - it's fantastic!

Jackson flipping
Savannah was not happy!

Savannah loved this ride (if you can find her in the pic)

Baby Wyatt just hanging out :)

Hurricane reenactment
It was a very busy but fun few days. It was great catching up with some friends and loving on their children. All four kiddos have distinct personalities and are fun to be around. Can't wait to do this again!

What am I running for? Well, we had a great key lime pie from Duffy Street Seafood Shack our first night there ... and it was good for days since we bought a whole pie! Plus the "Vanna White" ice cream, Mike's delish quesadillas and dinner from Key West Grill. Great food and even better fellowship! Laying out on the beach counts as exercise, right?

Faith Night 2013 at the Diamond

Saturday night was Faith Night at the Diamond for the Richmond Flying Squirrels. I joined Carrie, Amber, and the kiddos ... it was packed! Overall, I think it was a really fun time though. The kids did pretty good. We had cotton candy, fried pickles, Twizzlers ... that's why you go to baseball games - for the food! We stayed for the fireworks and Katie and Elijah even ran the bases after the game. Here's few pics of the night:
Carrie and baby Luke
Elijah - clapping?

So if I was running it would be for the pancakes Josh made for dinner! They were fantastic! Buttery, crispy edges - just perfection!

Keith and Lainey Visit May 2013

Keith and Lainey visited for the Memorial Day weekend. We played Bingo almost as soon as they got here. It was a great time. No one won, but it was fun just playing the game. The next day we got up super early and shopped a few yard sales. We spent the afternoon hanging out at the house. On Sunday after church, we had a delicious meal at Carrabba's then went on a Trolley tour through downtown Richmond. It was fun being a tourist in our own town. After the tour we headed to Short Pump for shopping and finished up with dinner at Baker's Crust - home of the Nutella crepe. I was the only one who really enjoyed it, but I REALLY enjoyed it :) Don't forget to take a look at the last picture and you'll see why I run for these treats!!

Happy Birthday Josh!

Josh's birthday is in May. Here's a few pictures to capture the day:

Dinner at Bonefish Grill
Birthday ice cream (It's what he asked for ...)
Little blurry, but you get the point.
What would a birthday be without running treats for Josh?
Happy Birthday Josh! Thanks to the delicious meal at Bonefish Grill, my first visit ever, I am now looking forward to another round of Bang Bang Shrimp. It was delish! Maybe if I get running now I can enjoy some :)

Jeremy, Heather, and Boston Visit May 2013

Jeremy, Heather, and Boston came to town for a visit and we did lots of fun stuff! We went to Bass Pro shops, Short Pump mall, Genghis Grill, Hobby Lobby, Johnny Rockets, Maymont, and Chipotle. Heather and I also played Bingo twice and Josh and Jeremy went to see Iron Man 3. All in all - not to bad of a visit! Here are some pics of the fun:
At Bass Pro
Boston: Riding around the neighborhood, having fun in Hobby Lobby, and asleep on the way home from Maymont.
Heather and Boston hanging out on the porch.
Boston and Josh saying bye for now.
Bingo night #1 - American Legion

Bingo night #2 - VFW

The first night of Bingo we were bored as we didn't have enough cards and the second night we were overwhelmed. We know what we are doing now. Next time, they better watch out! On the lookout for a sexy bingo bag now :)

What am I running for? Well, I did have a brownie sundae from Bruster's which had chocolate peanut butter buckeye ice cream - delish! I probably need to run an extra 1/2 marathon for that sundae alone ...
